Gianluca Fratellini


Gianluca Fratellini’s career in 3D animation started at a very early age, already during his school years. His first job as a 3D Animator was for Oniria Pictures in Luxemburg. He later moved to Ubisoft in Montrèal, Canada, as a 3D Senior Animator and Layout Supervisor in the Cinematic’s department for major videogame productions. Then he worked for Animal Logic in Australia on the movie “Happy Feet” by Warner Bros, which won an Academy Award for “Best Animated Motion picture” in 2006, and for Ilion Animation Studios in Spain. In the UK he worked at Climax, on videogames for Konami, and at Double Negative;

in Canada he worked for Sony Pictures Imageworks; in the US for Blue Sky Studios. Finally he moved back to London to work for Framestore, Mikros Image Animation and MPC. He has collaborated as a 3D Senior Character Animator, Lead Animator and Animation Supervisor to commercials for Danone and Budweiser, TV series and several blockbuster films for Marvel, 21st Century Fox, Universal Pictures, Walt Disney and Paramount movies such as “Dumbo”, “The Lion King”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Viking”, Hotel Transylvania”, “Ice Age 5: Collision Course”, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”.
